What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL (CROMWELL STREET ETC, NECHELLS) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council propose to make these Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, 84(1) and (2), 101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be as follows:

1. To introduce lengths of No Waiting at Any Time at the junctions of CROMWELL STREET & CHADSMOOR TERRACE, NECHELLS

2. To introduce 20MPH Speed Limit on CROMWELL STREET (from a point outside property No 134 to the junction with Rocky Lane, and on CHADSMOOR TERRACE, NECHELLS

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
INSTALLATION OF SPEED HUMPS ON CROMWELL ROAD, NECHELLS

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council (“the Council”) proposes under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 to install speed cushions up to a maximum height of 75mm, 3700mm in length at the approximate locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice, for the purpose of reducing speed.

CROMWELL STREET between the access roads to Medway
Tower and Severn Tower

Any person wishing to object to the proposals should write to the Director – Infrastructure and Sustainability, Place, Prosperity & Sustainability Directorate, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 14439, Birmingham B2 2JE stating the grounds for objection by 22nd December 2025.
