The Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2003 (Amendment No. 247) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Orders would be to:-
(a) Introduce/extend “No Waiting at Any time” restrictions as set out in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
(b) Introduce/extend “No Loading at Any Time” restrictions as set out in Schedule 2 to this Notice;
(c) Convert existing Waiting restrictions operating Monday to Friday between 10am and 11am to “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions as set out in Schedule 3 to this Notice;
(d) Convert existing Waiting restrictions operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6:30pm to “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions as set out in Schedule 4 to this Notice;
(e) Convert existing Waiting restrictions operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm and Sunday between 10am and 5pm to “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions as set out in Schedule 5 to this Notice;
Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.
Copies of the proposed Orders, plans and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be made available by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@bromley.gov.uk during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.
ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, BR1 1AS, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/T795 not later than 17th December 2025.
Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.

BROADOAKS WAY, Bromley:
(a) north-west side, centre island, from a point 7.1 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 48 and 50 in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10.1 metres
(b) south-east side, centre island, from a point 4.1 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos 49 and 51 in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 10.7 metres
CHAMBERLAIN CRESCENT, West Wickham:
(a) south and west side, from a point 4.7 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 48 and 50 in an easterly and southerly direction to a point 6.4 metres south of the common boundary of Nos. 50 and 52
CHELSFIELD LANE, Orpington:
(a) west side, from a point 10 metres north of the north-eastern kerbline of Craven Road to a point 10 metres south of the south-western kerbline of Craven Road.
COBALT CLOSE, Beckenham:
(a) north-west side, from the south-western kerbline of Shirley Crescent in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 6 metres.
COPSE AVENUE, West Wickham:
(a) north-east side, from a point 3.3 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 5 and 7 to a point 14.1 metres west of the western boundary of No. 48 Boleyn Gardens
(b) south-east side, from a point 5 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
BOLEYN GARDENS, West Wickham:
(a) south-east side, from 15 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 9 and 11 Copse Avenue in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres
CRAVEN ROAD, Orpington:
(a) both sides, from its junction with Chelsfield Lane in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres
EDEN ROAD, Beckenham:
(a) north-east side, from a point 16 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Croydon Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 14.7 metres
(b) south-west side, from a point 25.5 metres south-east of the south-western kerbline of Croydon Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 4.5 metres
FARADAY ROAD, Orpington:
(a) the northwest side, from the north-eastern building line of No. 1 Orpington Business Park in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 6.4 metres
(b) south-east side, from a point opposite the north-eastern building line of No. 1 Orpington Business Park in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 6.1m.

(a) south-west side, from a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Porrington Close in a south-easterly direction to a point 10 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Porrington Close.
