LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE
THE REDBRIDGE (WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 202
[NOTE: This Notice is about proposals to remove existing on-street parking bays along Station Road, Barkingside, and to introduce new parking bays next to the entrance to Fairlop Waters Country Park. Objections and other comments may be made – see paragraph 4.]
The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, propose to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to revoke the existing underlying waiting, loading, or parking place restrictions on Station Road, Barkingside.
The general effect of the Order will be to:
a. Remove existing on-street parking restrictions along Station Road.
b. Introduce double-yellow lines along the southern kerbside of Station Road to prevent obstructions to the carriageway.
c. Extend the double-yellow lines on the north side of Station Road into two new vehicle passing points.
d. Introduce a new disabled parking space, as well as two on-street pay-by-phone parking bays, east of the southern entrance of Fairlop Waters Country Park, on the north side of Station Road.
e. From the east end of the pay-by-phone parking bays, extend the double yellow lines on the north side of Station Road to a point east of the entrance to the LB Redbridge Barkingside depot (southern side of Station Road). This is to facilitate vehicle turning into the LB Redbridge Barkingside depot.
The Order is necessary to facilitate the widening of the footway, which intends to improve pedestrian access to Fairlop Waters Country Park. This will accompany wider plans to improve walking and cycling routes within the park.
A copy of the Order may be examined along with map-based plans at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255–259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY, between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
