(Hearth Place, Hearth Road, Cumnock)
(Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025
On 25 November 2025 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.
Temporary Road Closure – Hearth Place, Hearth Road, Cumnock
Hearth Place - From Hearth Road to Car Road including Hearth Place Loop. Full Length - 300m.
Hearth Road - From A70 Ayr Road to Hearth Place including CUL-DE-SAC. Full Length - 251m
No Waiting At Any Time - Hearth Place, Hearth Road, Cumnock
Hearth Place - From Hearth Road to Car Road including Hearth Place Loop. Full Length - 300m both sides of carriageway.
Hearth Road - From A70 Ayr Road to Hearth Place including CUL-DE-SAC. Full Length - 251m both sides of carriageway.
The Order commences on 08 December 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 08 December 2025 at 08:00 until 19 December 2025 at 16:00
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 16:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.
An alternative route will be signed via - A70 Ayr Road turning right on to Glaisnock Street then turning right on to Hall Terrace then turning left on to Car Road and vice versa.
