A1(M), Alconbury to Junction 17, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough - Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance Works

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (SOUTH OF JUNCTION 14 TO JUNCTION 17) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202_
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway in the County of Cambridgeshire and City of Peterborough to allow maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The duration of each closure would vary depending on the nature of the maintenance work being undertaken on each occasion. The programme of works would start on or after 5 January 2026 and be completed by 23 December 2026.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure (20.00 – 08.00) on sections of:-
(i) the A1(M) from the A1 at Alconbury to Junction 17;
(ii) all slip roads leading to and from the A1(M) between those Junctions.
During the closures traffic would be diverted via junctions of the A1(M) and local roads.

The closures (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer, works or winter maintenance vehicles), and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order would come into force on 29 December 2025 and remain in force until 23 December 2026.
