Notice of Making of a Definitive Map Order

Footpath LA13/52 Tetbury Gardens, Nailsea

Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order No.2 2025

The above Order made on 30 October 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a section footpath to the Definitive Map.

Addition of Footpath LA13/52 – Footpath LA13/52 commences at its junction with Tetbury Gardens, point A (Grid Ref ST48102 70303) and proceeds in a north easterly direction for approximately 8m to point B (Grid Ref ST48105 70310), where it continues in a north north easterly direction for approximately 15m to point C (Grid Ref ST48108 70325), then in a northerly direction for approximately 11m to point D (Grid Ref ST48106 70336) to its junction with Footpath LA13/35. This footpath is approximately 34m in length and will have a recorded width of 2m.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing addressed to Natural Environment Team, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ not later than 12 January 2026, quoting the reference Mod 119, stating the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has no objection to the Secretary of State so elected under the terms of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order).

If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation, in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.21) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 20 November 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include Parking restrictions at various locations in North Somerset. The order will come into operation on the 24 November 2025, and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at:

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Wild Country Lane, Barrow Gurney, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 9 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-223

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 9 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works, which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 10 February 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to repair cover in carriageway. This order will become operative on the 10 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Barrow Lane, Winford, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 8 December 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay new service to development. This order will become operative on the 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 8 December 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access underground structure for cabling for new customer connection. This order will become operative on the 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Strode Road from junction of Millcross to junction of Colehouse Lane. Lower Strode Road from junction of Colehouse Lane to outside property named Clanna.
