Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Eliot Road, Dagenham)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE OF MAKING
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order facilitate utility works for UKPN, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Monday 1st December 2025. The works expected for:
- Utility works for UKPN to take 5 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Friday 5th December 2025 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8:00am on 1st December 2025 to 6:00pm on 5th December 2025.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Eliot Road, both sides, from a point 19.5 metres north-west of its north-eastern junction with Haskard Road for 45 metres in a north-westerly direction.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for access) on Eliot Road, both sides, from its north-eastern junction with Haskard Road for 19.5 metres in a north-westerly direction.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for access) on Eliot Road, both sides, from its north-western junction with Haskard Road to a point 64.5 metres north-west of its north-eastern junction with Haskard Road.
- Prohibit all pedestrians on Eliot Road, south-west side footpath, from a point 31.6 metres north-west of its north-eastern junction with Haskard Road for 20.6 metres in a north-westerly direction.
- Suspend the Resident Permit Holders Only Zone STR Mon - Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm bays on Eliot Road, both sides, from a point 19.5 metres north-west of its north-eastern junction with Haskard Road for 45 metres in a northwesterly direction.
4. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be maintained and signed:
- Via Eliot Road, north-east side footpath.
5. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Haskard Road.
