(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026
NOTICE OF INTENT
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer cover replacement works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Tuesday 17th February 2026. The works expected for:
- Sewer cover replacement, to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Tuesday 17th February 2026 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Rosslyn Road, both sides, from its south-western junction with Sherwood Gardens for 23 metres in a south-westerly direction.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic in the partial closure on Sherwood Gardens, south-west side, from a point 2 metres north-west to a point 2 metres south-east of its junction with Rosslyn Road.
- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for access) on Rosslyn Road, both sides, from its junction with Cecil Avenue to a point 23 metres south-west of its south-western junction with Sherwood Gardens.
4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
- Via Cecil Avenue, Longbridge Road, Aldersey Gardens, Rosslyn Road and Vice versa.
- Via Sherwood Gardens, Salisbury Avenue, Cecil Avenue, Rosslyn Road and Vice versa.
