Temporary Traffic Arrangements
Longford Road, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along that part of Longford Road commencing at its junction with Vinecote Road and continuing to its junction with Oakmoor Road.
The Order will come into effect from 09:30 hours on Sunday 30th November 2025 and is required to enable the safe replacement of manhole cover and frame.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 16:00 hours on Sunday 30th November 2025.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements
Watery Lane, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Watery Lane to such extent when signs are displayed.
The Order will come into effect from 07:00 hours on Monday 1st December 2025 and is required to enable gully cleansing and carriageway repair works to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Tuesday 2nd December 2025.
Diversion routes would be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property. The road would be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking & Traffic Arrangements
Wall Hill Road, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Wall Hill Road from its junction with Pikers Lane to its junction with Bridle Brook Lane to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed.
The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 1 December 2025 and is required to enable the installation of new water connection and associated works on Wall Hill Road to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 3 December 2025.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Wall Hill Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

City Of Coventry
(City Centre High Street Area) (Prohibition Of Driving & No Entry)
Permanent Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”), which will come into force on 4 December 2025.
The Order gives permanent effect to the ‘City of Coventry (City Centre High Street Area) (Prohibition of Driving & No Entry) (Experimental) Order 2024’ (“the Experimental Order’) which came into operation on 3rd June 2024.
The Experimental Order had the effect of restricting access to Cuckoo Lane, Greyfriars Lane, Hay Lane, High Street, Pepper Lane, Priory Row, St Michaels Avenue and Trinity Churchyard to Permit Holders Only (Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm).
Buses, Hackney Carriages, bicycles, pedestrians, Statutory Undertakers, Emergency Services and Highway Maintenance vehicles were exempt at all times.
Bayley Lane was not passable to through traffic and access into High Street from Little Park Street was prohibited.
The Order gives permanent effect to the Experimental Order and the restrictions contained therein.

Should any person wish to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the power conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

Leighton Close, Coventry
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Leighton Close from its junction with Stoneleigh Road to a point approximately 60m from the junction when prescribed signs are displayed.
The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 8 December 2025 and is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out main replacement and associated works on Leighton Close to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 22 December 2025.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;
