Copeland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4253 CROFT TERRACE,
EGREMONT AND U4086 LOW MILL, THORNHILL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. Croft Terrace, Egremont, from a point adjacent to No.4 Croft Terrace, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 30m.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
Duration: From 2 December 2025 for approx. 2 days between 0830 and 1630 hours (Ref: TTROC/16368)
2. Low Mill, Thornhill, from its junction with Beckside, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 120m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Low Mill, the B5345, A595, The Crescent, High Road and Dent Road.
Duration: From 8 December 2025 for approx. 2 days between 0830 and 1630 hours (Ref: TTROC/16427)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 2 December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
