TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.36) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of unnamed highway as lies off Shetland Close at Blackburn, in the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen. This is to enable development as permitted by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council under reference 10/24/0464.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO4218542). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Blackburn with Darwen Council, Old Town Hall, King William St, Blackburn, BB1 7DY.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 25 November 2025.
