Suffolk, Multiple Temporary Roads & Footpath Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of
Footpath 18, Little Bealings

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing Footpath 18, Little Bealings at the railway crossing to facilitate railway track renewal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

There will be no alternative route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11:59pm on 05/12/2025 – 6:25am on 08/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of Footpath 39, Haughley

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 39, Haughley from 70 metres south of the junction with Stowmarket Road for 200 metres southbound to facilitate resurfacing and kerb repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Stowmarket Road, Haughley Road, Moorbridge Lane, Footpath 47, Footpath 39 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/11/2025 - 29/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to William Bevan, Tel: 07756 208707. Email: william.bevan@ringway.co.uk.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U5963 Kiln Lane, Elmswell

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5963 Kiln Lane, Elmswell from 422 metres southeast of the junction with the A188 for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate water work repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1088 from the District Boundary to the A14, Church Road, Warren Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/11/2025 - 28/11/2025 but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic, Tel: (01449) 490865.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The F1350 Footway From Bacon Road To York Crescent, Claydon

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the F1350 Footway from Bacon Road to York Crescent, Claydon from York Crescent to number 41 to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be: Bacon Road, Edinburgh Gardens, York Crescent and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 26/11/2025 - 28/11/2025 but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to C and L Construction Ltd, Tel: 07549 856716.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C9E9 Smallgate, Hungate And Blyburgate, Beccles

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

1. C969 Smallgate Beccles from Hungate to Market Street

2. C969 Hungate, Beccles from Smallgate to Hungate Lane

3. C969 Blyburgate, Beccles from Smallgate to no. 3.

This is to facilitate manhole works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: Peddars Lane, St Marys Road, Ballygate, New Market, Market Street and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7:00pm on 26/11/2025 – 6:00am on 27/11/2025 but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Ltd,

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A12 Hacheston Northbound, Hacheston

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A12 Hacheston Northbound, Hacheston from the A12 northbound slip off to A12 northbound slip on to facilitate road lining works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: A12 Northbound off slip, the B1078, theA12 Northbound on slip with novice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10:00pm on 05/12/2025 – 6:00am on 06/12/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to MGroup Highways, Tel: 07355 604534.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C325 Station Road, Little Bealings

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C325 Station Road, Little Bealings from the railway crossing for 20 metres northbound and for 20 metres southbound to facilitate rail improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be: The Street, Lodge Road, Hall Farm Road, Boot Street, Bealings Road, Butts Road, Playford Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

1.05/12/2025 - 08/12/2025

2.13/12/2025- 15/12/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C355 The Street, Newbourne

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C355 The Street, Newboume from Brook Cottage for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate providing a service to a customer. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be: The Street, Ipswich Road, Newbourne Road, Waldringfield Road, Ipswich Road, School Road, Cliff Road, Mill Road, Henley Road and vice versa,

or Woodbridge Road, Ipswich Road, School Road, Cliff Road, Mill Road, Tienley Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/12/2025 from 9:30am – 3:30pm but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals, Tel: 0370 050 0792.
