What is happening?

Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hampton Lane which extends from Cotham Hill southwards for 81 metres; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing prohibition of vehicles proceeding in Cotham Hill from entering Hampton Lane, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 13th January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 13th January 2026 and 15th January 2026).
Alternative Route: Hampton Lane (part unaffected), Aberdeen Road, Whiteladies Road, Redland Park, Hampton Road, Hampton Park, Cotham Hill
(Ashton Vale Road, Ashton, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) (No.2)
Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Ashton Vale Road which extends from Ashton Gate Underpass south westwards for 34 metres.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 24th December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 08.00 p.m. on 24th December 2025 and 05.00 a.m. on 30th December 2025, and between 10.00 p.m. on 3rd January 2026 and 08.00 a.m. on 4th January 2026).
Alternative Route: None – No through road

Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles exempted from the existing prohibition of driving in Cotswold Road, that length of Cotswold Road from the common boundary line of No.20 and No.22 Cotswold Road to from the common boundary line of No.27 and No.29 Cotswold Road; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing prohibition of vehicles proceeding in Windmill Hill from entering Cotswold Road, so as to allow access as a consequence of item 1. above.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 17th December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 17th December 2025 and 19th December 2025).
Alternative Route: Cotswold Road (part unaffected), Cotswold Road North, Windmill Hill, Eldon Terrace, Mendip Road, Cotswold Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
