Ar 25 Tachwedd 2025, cadarnhaodd Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd y Gorchymyn uchod a wnaed dan adran 119 Deddf Priffyrdd 1980.

Effaith y Gorchymyn fel y’i cadarnhawyd yw dargyfeirio’r llwybr troed cyhoeddus 397/9 sy’n rhedeg o bwynt A ar Cot Hill i bwynt B wrth y gyffordd á llwybr troed rhif 397/3 a 397/10, llwybr troed rhif 397/3, Llan-wern, sy’n rhedeg o bwynt B uchod i bwynt C a llwybr troed rhif 397/10, Llan-wern, sy’n rhedeg o bwynt B uchod i bwynt D fel y dangosir ar Fap y Gorchymyn i linell sy’n rhedeg o bwynt E, yna i bwynt F, yna i bwynt G, yna i bwynt H, yna i bwynt I, yna i bwynt J, yna i bwynt K, yna i bwynt L, yna i bwynt M, yna i bwynt N ac yn olaf i bwynt C, a llwybr troed yn rhedeg o bwynt D i bwynt O, yna i bwynt P, yna i bwynt Q, i bwynt R ac yn olaf i bwynt C fel y dangosir ar Fap y Gorchymyn.

Mae copi o’r Gorchymyn fel y’i cadarnhawyd a Map y Gorchymyn ar gael i’w gweld am ddim yn y Ganolfan Ddinesig, Casnewydd, De Cymru NP20 4UR rhwng 9.00am a 4.00pm o ddydd Llun i ddydd Iau. Gellir prynu copiau o’r Gorchymyn a’r Map yn ôl am £2.00.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 25 Tachwedd 2025, ond os bydd person yn teimlo ei fod wedi’i dramgwyddo gan y Gorchymyn ac yn amau ei ddilysrwydd, neu unrhyw ddatganiadau sydd wedi’u cynnwys ynddo, ar y sail nad yw o fewn pwerau Deddf Priffyrdd 1980, fel y’i diwygwyd, neu ar y sail nad ydynt wedi cydymffurfio ag unrhyw un o ofynion y Ddeddf, fel y’i diwygwyd, neu unrhyw reoliadau a wnaed dan y Ddeddf mewn cysylltiad â’r Gorchymyn, gall, dan baragraff 2 Atodlen 2 y Ddeddf fel y nodir ym mharagraff 5 Atodlen 6 y Ddeddf, o fewn 6 wythnos i 25 Tachwedd 2025, wneud cais i’r Uchel Lys.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL

PUBLIC FOOTPATHs 397/9, 397/3 and 397/10, LLANWERN

On 25th November 2025, Newport City Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath 397/9 running from Point A on Cot Hill to point B at the junction with footpath no.s 397/3 and 397/10, footpath no. 397/3, Llanwern, running from the aforementioned point B to point C and Footpath no. 397/10, Llanwern, running from the aforementioned point B to point D as shown on the Order Map to a line running from point E, then to point F, then to point G, then to point H, then to point I, then to point J, then to point K, then to point L, then to point M, then to point N and finally to point C and footpath running from point D to point O, then to point P, then to point Q, to point R and finally to point C shown on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Civic Centre, Newport, South Wales NP20 4UR from 9.00am to 4.00pm from Monday to Thursday. Copies of the Order and Map may be bought there at the price of £2.00.

The Order comes into force on 25th November 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act may within 6 weeks from 25th November 2025 make an application to the High Court.
