PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(HELMSLEY ROAD AND
WOOD END SERVICE ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the have made
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road
Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles
from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
• Helmsley Road closed from outside property 5 to its
junction with Wood End Service Road. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Bealeys Avenue, Beech Tree Avenue,
Wood End Road and vice versa.
• Wood End Service Road closed from its junction with
Helmsley Road to outside property 367. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Wood End Road, Lower Prestwood
Road, Blackwood Avenue and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
from 1 December 2025 until 22 December 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement
works by Cadent.
