What is happening?
SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 8th December 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Longslow Road, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 9th December 2025 between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Repair/replace defective manhole frame and cover
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lower Pulley Lane, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 12 days
Purpose: Road Closure - National Grid, cable reinforcement scheme.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Newton and Hartlebury
Date & Duration: 12th December 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Wyken and Hopstone
Date & Duration: 10th December 2025 for 9 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Church Pulverbatch to Shrewsbury Road, Wrentnall
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 2 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Carriageway repairs
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Pen Y Bryn to Ddol, St. Martins
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 9 days between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing Scheme
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from usingStableford Road, Ackleton
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway works
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Hangmans Lane, Morville
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 14 days
Purpose: Road Closure-S278 - Creation of new access to serve the expansion of Morville Quarry.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Between Broomfields and The A5
Date & Duration: 10th December 2025 for1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement works.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Between Habberley And Shrewsbury Road
Date & Duration: 11th December 2025 for1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement works.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Hopton Cangeford and B4364
Date & Duration: 9th December 2025 for50 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Burst driven mains renewal of aprox 1275m
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Stottesdon and Bagginswood
Date & Duration: 12th December 2025 for1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, traffic management required to allow safe working area for pole replacement.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Between Withington And Roddington Heath
Date & Duration: 12th December 2025 for1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, traffic management required to allow safe working area for pole replacement.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from B4398 towards Melverley
Date & Duration: 11th December 2025 for1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Erection of new 11k poles either side road in private.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Stottesdon and Bagginswood
Date & Duration: 12th December 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Pole test
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Maesbrook to Melverley Green
Date & Duration: 12th December 2025 for1 day between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Erecting new poles either side of road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Worthington Street, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 9th December 2025 for1 day between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - MJ Quinn are to replace 1 BT pole
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road, Melverley
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Install
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at no more than 40 mph or 10 mph on the B4364 between Crowleasowes Cottage and Hackstone Farm,Cleedownton
Date & Duration: 8th December 2025 for 116 days
Purpose: Temporary speed restriction Speed Reduction from 60mph to 40mph to 10mph through site as displayed on signage through phases of work
