Aveling Way Area, Shireoaks - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (AVELING WAY AREA, SHIREOAKS) (7.5 TONNES WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024 (1304)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1 and 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effects of which will be in respect of a road at Shireoaks in the District of Bassetlaw:‑
(1) Vehicles (the laden or unladen weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonnes) will be prohibited from proceeding in any of the following roads or lengths of road:-
(a) Aveling Way, from its junction with Blackstone Drive in an easterly direction for 212 metres.
(b) Barford Close, the whole length of the road from its junction with Blackstone Drive.
(c) Blackstone Drive, the whole length of the road from its junction with Shireoaks Common.
(d) Bray Court, the whole length of the road from its junction with Aveling Way.
(e) Clayson Green, the whole length of road from its junction with Blackstone Drive
(f) Ivel Crescent, the whole length of the road from its junction with Blackstone Drive to its junction with Clayson Green.
(g) Robey Vale, the whole length of the road from its junction with Ivel Crescent.

THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO FORCE ON THE 1ST DECEMBER 2025
The Order has been introduced to stop heavy goods vehicles from passing through the new housing estate.
