TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

AYLSHAM – C276 Bure Way from 35m east of its junction with Cromer Road for 35m eastwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 1st to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Cromer Road, White Hart Street, Gashouse Hill, Bure Way. The works promoter is Cadent.

BRININGHAM – B1110 Holt Road from its junction with C330 Brinton Road to its junction with C227 Burgh Stubbs to facilitate carriageway patching works from 1st to 2nd December 2025 (may continue until 13th January 2026). GREAT YARMOUTH – Gatacre Road from its junction with Mill Road for 95m south-eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 14th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Marsh Road, Coronation Road, High Mill Road, Gatacre Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Havens Bridge from its junction with North Quay for 100m westwards to facilitate deck and barrier repair works from 1st to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: North Quay, Acle New Road, A47 / A1243 / A149 Roundabout, Pasteur Road, Boundary Road, Thamesfield Way, Southgates Road, Mill Road, A47 / A1243 Roundabout, Northgate, Blythes, A47 / A1243 / A149 Roundabout, Southtown Road, Bridge Road. HINDRINGHAM – C316 The Street from its junction with U14002 Wells Road for 240m north-eastwards to facilitate overhead cable repair works between 09:00 and 13:00 on 1st December 2025 (may continue until 12th January 2026). HORNING – U19098 Parkland Crescent from its junction with U19097 Hillside Road to its junction with U19097 Hillside Road to facilitate new duct installation works from 3rd to 9th December 2025 (may continue until 20th January 2026). HORNING – (1) A1062 Ropes Hill from its junction with C401 Lower Street for 550m westwards and (2) C398 Letheringtons Lane from its junction with A1062 Ropes Hill to its junction with C404 Long Lane to facilitate road and rope testing and sub duct installation works between 08:00 and 18:00 from 1st to 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 14th January 2026). MARTHAM – U69349 Damgate Lane from 110m north of its junction with C456 Staithie Road to its junction with U65929 Damgate Back Lane to facilitate sewer connection works, the Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 1st to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). SALTHOUSE – Cross Street from 295m south of its junction with A149 Coast Road for 30m southwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 1st to 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 14th January 2026). Alternative route is via Cross Street, A149 Coast Road, A149 Salthouse Road, C307 Wood Lane, Blomfield Lane (Kelling, Salthouse). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

STIBBARD – C335 Wood Norton Road from 210m south-east of its junction with B1108 Holt Road for 30m south-east to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 12th January 2026). Alternative route is via: C335 Wood Norton Road, A1067 Norwich Road, B1110 Holt Road (Guist, Wood Norton, Stibbard). The works promoter is BT.

UPTON WITH FISHLEY – U59410 Horses Head/U59411 The Green from its junction with U59410 The Green to its junction with U59411 The Green to facilitate sewer connection works from 1st to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). THETFORD – Kimms Belt from its junction with Burrell Way for 375m south-eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 08:00 and 17:00 from 1st and 2nd December 2025 (may continue until 13th January 2026). BECKHAM EAST AND WEST – C528 Church Road from its junction with C309 Long Lane for 20m eastwards to facilitate duct repair works from 26th to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 9th January 2026). Alternative route is via: C528 Church Road/Beckham Palace Road, C308 Osier Lane, C309 Long Lane. The works promoter is BT.

CROMER – Surrey Street from its junction with Brook Street for 25m eastwards to allow access to chambers in the carriageway from 24th to 26th November 2025 (may continue until 7th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Surrey Street, The Gangway, A149 Church Street/Mount Street/Louden Road/Prince Of Wales Road/Hamilton Road/Church Street, Brook Street. The works promoter is Hawthornden Developments Ltd.

FILBY – A1064 Main Road/The Heath from 60m northwest of its junction with C448 Market Lane for 120m south-eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 05:00 from 24th to 26th November 2025 (may continue until 7th January 2026). FLEGGBURGH – A1064 Main Road from 50m southeast of its junction with C457 Tower Road for 500m southwestwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works between 19:00 and 05:00 from 26th to 30th November 2025 (may continue until 11th January 2026). Alternative route is via: A1064 Main Road/Norwich Road, A149 Norwich Road/Main Road/High Road, B1152 Mill Lane/Heath Road/Main Road, A1064 Main Road (Ashby with Oby, Repps with Bastwick, Rollesby, Fleggburgh, Ormesby St. Michael, Filby, Ormesby St. Margaret with Scratby, West Caister). NB: The road will be closed for four nights within the anticipated dates.

THORPE NEXT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – C258 Hare Road from its junction with Broad Lane to its junction with Church Road to facilitate new drainage system and duct installation works from 24th November 2025 to 20th February 2026 (may continue until 20th August 2026). Alternative route is via: C258 Hare Road/Plumstead Road, Middle Road, Broad Lane North, Middle Road (Thorpe St. Andrew, Great and Little Plumstead, Rackheath, Wroxham, Salhouse, Brundall, Beeston).

NB: These works are to be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 will be carried out from 24th to 28th November. Phase 2 will be carried out from 12th January to 20th February.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Windsor Avenue from its junction with Hamilton Road for 150m northwards to facilitate lead pipe repair works from 27th November to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Hamilton Road, Sandringham Avenue, Barnard Avenue. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

HORNING

  1. U19118 Mill Hill from 200m southeast of its junction with C401 Lower Street for 90m south-eastwards and

  2. U19069 Mill Hill from its junction with U19118 Mill Hill for 105m north-westwards to facilitate new duct installation cabling works from 24th to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 9th January 2026).

NORTH WALSHAM – U14480 Lyngate Road from 200m west of its junction with U19018 Bradfield Road for 200m westwards to facilitate crossover point removal and verge reinstatement works from 24th November to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Lyngate Road, Bradfield Road, Pond Road, Chapel Road (Swafield, Antingham, North Walsham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
