What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
 (PUBLIC FOOTPATH KN6 – HARDINGSTONE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by West Northamptonshire Council on 15th May 2025 and which came into effect on 29th May 2025 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 29th May 2026 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said footpaths is unaffected.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The extension is required for health and safety to facilitate ongoing construction works.

(Length of footpath to be closed)

The existing route KN6 to be closed begins at National Grid Reference (‘NGR’) SP7673 5776. The route travels generally south east for approximately 1064 metres to point B at NGR SP7735 5702. The route is shown on the map by a solid black line between points A - B. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route starts at point A at NGR SP7673 5776. The route travels generally south along the highway footway of The Green and then The Warren for approximately 494 metres to point C at NGR SP7669 5727. The route then heads east along the highway footway of Newport Pagnell Road, crossing Landimore Road, and continuing for a total distance of approximately 728 metres to point B at NGR SP7735 5702. The route is shown by a broken black line between points A - C - B.
