The Definitive Map and Statement for the Former Carrick District Area

The Cornwall Council (Addition of Restricted Byways at Lanteague in the Parishes of St Newlyn East and St Allen) Modification Order 2025

The above order made on 18 November 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:

i) Adding a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Newlyn East commencing at Byway Open to All Traffic Number 97 Perranzabuloe and Footpath Number 95 Perranzabuloe, approximately 265 metres west-northwest of "Lanteague Farm" at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 8015/5377, then running in a generally east-south-easterly direction for a distance of 655 metres to its junction with another Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, approximately 389 metres east-south-east of "Lanteague Farm" at OSGR SW 8077/5357.

ii) Adding a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Allen commencing at a Restricted Byway to be added by this Order, approximately 389 metres eastsouth- east of "Lanteague Farm" at OSGR SW 8077/5357, then running in a generally east-south-easterly, then east-north-easterly direction for a distance of 179 metres terminating at Classified Road C364 approximately 254 metres east-north-east of "Little Lanteague" at OSGR SW 8094/5356.

A copy of the Order and Map has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Perranporth Library, Oddfellows Hall, Ponsmere Road, Perranporth, TR6 OBW from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, and from 13.00 pm to 17.00 pm on Tuesday and Friday, from 13.00 pm to 17.00 pm on Thursday and from 10.00 am to 13.00 pm on Saturday. Copies of the Order & Map may be bought there, at the price of £5.00. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 3AY (quoting Reference WCA 796) not later than 12th January 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, [or to any part of it]. or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State [(or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981)] may itself confirm the order [(or that part of the order)]. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State (in whole or in part) any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
