Manchester City Council has made the: CITY OF MANCHESTER
(KENSINGTON ROAD AND OSWALD ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING/UNLOADING AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following:
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:

Kensington Road: (i) the north-east side from its junction with Oswald Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (ii) the north-east side from its junction with Oswald Road in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iii) the south-west side from its junction with Oswald Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iv) the south-west side from its junction with Oswald Road in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
Oswald Road: (i) the east side from its junction with Kensington Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (ii) the east side from its junction with Kensington Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 12 metres, (iii) the west side from its junction with Kensington Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iv) the west side from its junction with Kensington Road in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 12 metres.

NO LOADING AT ANY TIME:
Kensington Road: (i) the north-east side from its junction with Oswald Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (ii) the north-east side from its junction with Oswald Road in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iii) the south-west side from its junction with Oswald Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iv) the south-west side from its junction with Oswald Road in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
Oswald Road: (i) the east side from its junction with Kensington Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 12 metres, (ii) the east side from its junction with Kensington Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres, (iii) the west side from its junction with Kensington Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 12 metres, (iv) the west side from its junction with Kensington Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

The Order was made on 25th November 2025 and will come into effect on 1st December 2025. Existing Orders have been amended to be consistent with the above.

A copy of the Order the plan and copies of the Orders that have been amended may be inspected by appointment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday. Please email or write into address below for a copy of documents.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 25th November 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
