What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)


TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (LINDEN GROVE) & TEMPORARY WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS (ASYLUM ROAD)


1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice, that, it intends, to make an order, the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicles and to  introduce ‘at any time’ waiting and loading restrictions as detailed below.

2. Whilst the restriction is in place, and whilst the authorised traffic signs/road markings are displayed, no person shall cause any vehicle to wait, including waiting for the purpose of loading and unloading at any time in: 
(a)  Linden Grove, will be closed between Limes Walk and Water Mews
(b)  Asylum Road, ‘at any time’ waiting and loading restrictions will be introduced, between No’s 98 and No’s 68 on both sides of the carriageway.

3. The alternative route will be: (2a) Linden Grove, Nunhead Grove, Nunhead Lane (2b) not applicable 

4. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, insofar as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said works.

5. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

6. The restriction will come into force for (2a) 12th – 13th & 19th – 20th December (2b) 12th – 15th December
