AND STATEMENT
FOR THE WAKEFIELD METROPOLITAN
DISTRICT COUNCIL AREA
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION
ORDER NO 4, 2022
CLAIMED PUBLIC FOOTPATH
FEATHERSTONE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 31

The above Order made on 20th June 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-

adding a public footpath 2.0 metres wide shown by a thick dashed line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with Cutsyke Road at point A on the plan at map reference 4227 2237 proceeding in a north easterly direction for 167 metres then northerly for 848 metres then easterly for 259 metres then in a westerly direction for 69 metres to its junction with Flass Lane at point B on the plan at map reference 4243 2307.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be requested via email at prowteam@wakefield.gov.uk. This Order was made and advertised originally in 2022. The Order has been submitted to the Secretary of State for determination.

The Planning Inspectorate, on behalf of the Secretary of State, has noted the Order was not advertised for the correct period of time in 2022. The Planning Inspectorate has directed the Council to readvertise the Order to fulfil the requirements of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Please note, any representations that have already been submitted when the Order was first advertised, DO NOT need to be resubmitted. The Planning Inspectorate already has these and they will be considered when deciding the Order.

Any new representations or objections relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Chief Legal Officer, County Hall, Wakefield, WF1 2QW not later than 8th January 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. The Council of the City of Wakefield has already submitted the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs with representations previously made. Any further representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will also be submitted.
