RHODDIR DRWY HYN RYBUDD fod Cyngor Gwynedd yn bwriadu dim llai na saith niwrnod ar ôl dyddiad y rhybudd hwn wneud Gorchymyn fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri i unrhyw gerbyd fynd mewn unrhyw gyfeiriad ar hyd y darn hwnnw o’r Ffordd Di-Ddosbarth a adwaenir fel Heol y Capel, Dolgellau o’r gyffordd gyda Y Lawnt gan deithio mewn cyfeiriad de ddwyreiniol hyd at bwynt ger yr eiddo a adwaenir fel Arosfa, Y Lawnt, Dolgellau.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn ar sail iechyd a diogelwch i’r cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith ar ran Scottish Power.

Y ffordd arall yw teithio mewn cyfeiriad de orllewinol ar Ffordd y Gader yna troi i’r dde yn y gyffordd gyda’r Lawnt. Teithio ar y ffordd hon mewn cyfeiriad gogledd ddwyreiniol hyd at y caead ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerbydau sydd yn teithio i’r cyfeiriad arall. Bydd mynediad ar gael i drigolion.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar y 5ed o Ionawr 2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod na fydd hwy na un mis neu hyd nes y cwblheir y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud ar y ffordd, pa un bynnag fyddo gyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd disgwylir y gellir cwblhau’r gwaith o fewn tua 15 diwrnod.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE GWYNEDD COUNCIL
(UNCLASSIFIED ROAD KNOWN AS CHAPEL STREET, DOLGELLAU) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Gwynedd Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed in either direction along that length of Unclassified Road known as Chapel Street, Dolgellau from its junction with Lombard Street travelling south easterly up to a point by the property known as Arosfa, Chapel Street, Dolgellau.

The Order is necessary on health and safety grounds to the public during works on behalf of Scottish Power.

The alternative route is to travel south westerly on Cader Road then turn right at the junction with Lombard Street. Travel on this road in a north easterly direction up to the closure and vice versa for vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. Access will be maintained for residents.

The Order comes into effect on the 5th of January 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding one month or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately 15 days.
