What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary 30 MPH Speed Restriction, West
Lane to Park End Cottage, Danby, Order 2025 No. 480 We have made
this Order to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 30 mph along
West Lane to Park End Cottage, Danby for a temporary period between
03/12/25 & 11/05/27, due to reduced carriageway width due to rail vehicle
incursion. This restriction follows emergency notice no. 205 which
commenced 12/11/25. The restriction will be put into effect by notices &

20 Mph & 30 Mph & 40 Mph Speed Limits, Egton, Order 2026 Notice is
hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order
under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV
of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph on any length of road
specified in schedule 1 below; in excess of 30 mph on any length of road
specified in schedule 2 & in excess of 40 mph on any length of road specified
in schedule 3. Schedule 1 - Speed limit 20. C82 (High Street to Egton Cliff),
From a point 130 metres north of Egton Cliff in a northerly direction for 269
metres. C82 (Broom House Lane to Egton Cliff), From its junction with
Broom House Lane in a north-easterly direction for 290 metres. Schedule 2 -
Speed limit 30. Delves Lane, From its junction with the C82 in a westerly
direction for 164 metres. C82 (Broom House Lane to Key Green), From its
junction with Broom House Lane in a south-westerly direction for 411 metres.
Broom House Lane, From its junction with the C82 in a westerly direction for
489 metres. C84, From its junction with the C82 in a northerly direction for
138 metres. Browns Wood Cottages, For its entirety. Egton Lane, From its
junction with the C82 in a westerly direction for 65 metres. C82 (Egton Lane
to Guisborough Road), From its junction with Egton Lane in a north-easterly
direction for 348 metres. High Street, For its entirety. Cross Farm, For its
entirety. C56, From its junction with High Street in an easterly direction for
232 metres. C82 (High Street to Egton Cliff), From its junction with C56 in a
southerly direction for 342 metres. Schedule 3 - Speed limit 40. C82 (High
Street to Egton Cliff), From Egton Cliff in a northerly direction for 130 metres.
Egton Cliff, For its entirety. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map
showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for
proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton
& at Whitby library, Windsor terrace Whitby, YO21 1EY during normal office
hours from 27/11/25 until 19/12/25 & also viewed online at
