What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – CYCLE LANE, KINGS ROAD, BRIGHTON

  1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 19 November 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

    The temporary closure of the eastbound cycle lane on Kings Road from its junction opposite Little Preston Street and continuing in a westerly direction for approximately 18 metres.

  2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of SGN carry out an alteration of gas supply for a customer.

    Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for cycle traffic.

  3. This Order comes into force on 24 November 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 5 December 2025.
