Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions due to Utility and Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3098 (Part), Bratton; from its property known as No.28 Westbury Road to its property known as Danes Lye to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route for high sided vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – C40 – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route for all other vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) Stormore (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its property known as No.09 Stormore to its property known as No.03d Stormore to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via Stormore (unaffected length) – Clearwood – B3099 – Stormore (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. C) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Bewley Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out access to overhead network for new customer service and associated works. Alternative route via C155 (unaffected length) – Hither Way – C150 – A350 – A4 – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) Grovelands Way (Part), Warminster; from its property known as No.53 Grovelands Way to its property known as No.47 Grovelands Way to enable Wessex Water to carry out cover and associated works. Alternative route via Grovelands Way (unaffected length) – Victoria Street – West Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic

E) A350 (Part), Upton Scudamore and Westbury; from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Old Dilton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) – A36 – A361 – C234 – C227 – A363 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night.

F) Oldfield Road (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Phoenix Rise to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out replacement of gas mains and associated works. Alternative route via Oldfield Road (unaffected length) – Mane Way 0 A3098 – A350 – B3097 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 19 December 2025 and then will be required on 05 January 2026 until 09 January 2026. G) Grovelands Way (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Upton Close to its junction with Pampas Court.

H) Pampas Court (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Grovelands Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out cover and associated works. Alternative route via Grovelands Way (unaffected length) – Victoria Road – West Street – Grovelands Way (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. I) A350 (Part), West Ashton, Steeple Ashton and Great Hinton; from its junction with West Ashton Road to its junction with Cold Harbour to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) – A361 – A363 – A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours 19:00 and 06:00 until 27 November 2025. J) The Rank (Part), North Bradley; from its property known as No.18 The Rank to its property known as No.25 The Rank to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out new connection and associated works.

No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 24 November 2025 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day for 5 days. For further information please contact Wales & West Utilities on 02920 102441 option 2.

K) Brown Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with County Way to its property known as No.24 Brown Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out Longfield gyratory scheme and associated works. Alternative route via Brown Street (unaffected length) – Bridge Street – Longfield Road and vice versa. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 27 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 21 January 2026. For further information please contact M Group on behalf of Wiltshire Council on 077439 81686. Orders A) to K) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (PARISHES OF WEST WILTSHIRE)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, ON STREET PARKING AND CLEARWAYS) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2025

(previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Parishes of West Wiltshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, On Street Parking and Clearways) Consolidation Order 2019 (Amendment No.6) Order 2025)

Notice is hereby given that on 12 November 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act of 1984”) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Parishes of West Wiltshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, On Street Parking and Clearways) Order 2019 (with amendments 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) and re-enact it in the above titled Order and to introduce No stopping Mon–Fri 7.30am–9am and 2.30pm–4pm on the north side of A3098 High Street, Chapmanslade – from a point 24 metres from the most eastern boundary of St Philip and St James’s Church for a distance of 25 metres in a westerly direction.

A copy of the Order and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025.
