TRAFFIC ORDER

On 24/11/2025 the Council made The Angus Council (Torchlit Walk, Arbroath) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025 under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, for the purpose of minimising danger to the public attending or participating in a relevant event. The Order will come into force on 29 November 2025, between 5.30pam and 6.30pm. The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily the driving all vehicles on: Hamilton Green, High Street, Old Shore Head, Marketgate, Ladybridge Street and The Shore, Arbroath. The restrictions in the Order will be implemented on the basis of a “rolling” road closure along the route with “points” traffic control at various junctions along the route controlled by appointed competent stewards, as considered necessary. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. Full details of the Order together with plans showing the affected roads are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders.
