North Yorkshire, Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Highway Maintenance Works

What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic, Unsurfaced Unclassified Road, 10.19/U7071/70 & 10.19/U7071/30, Brompton, Order 2025, No. 448

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle including any pedestrian, cyclist or horse rider from using UUR 10.19/U7071/70 & 10.19/U7071/30 in the Parish of Brompton, between grid reference SE92708803 & SE92638692 for a temporary period of 18 months (subject to access to premises) between 24/11/25 & 23/05/27, to allow repairs to be carried out & for the route to recover. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs.

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using UUR 10.19/ U7069/20, 10.19/U7069/40 & 10.19/U7069/60 in the Parish of Brompton, between grid reference SE91538679 & SE92898850 for a temporary period of 18 months (subject to access to premises) between 24/11/25 & 23/05/27, to allow repairs to be carried out and allow the route to recover. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic, A684, North West Of Appersett, Order 2025, No. 466

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using an approximate 500 metres length of the A684 near to 'Moss Bridge', located between Appersett & the 'Moorcock Inn' due to Highway Maintenance works.

It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force for a period of 2 weeks between 9:30 am & 3:30 pm on weekdays (dates to be confirmed) however the max duration of this Order will be from 24/11/25 until 21 /05/27. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.

Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic, Walburn Head, Stainton, Order 2025, No. 473

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Walburn Head, Stainton for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 08/12/25 & 19/12/25, due to Parapet wall repairs.

However, the max duration of this Order is until 07/06/27. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.

Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic, Church Bank, Aysgarth, Order 2025, No. 474

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using that part of Church Bank which extends from a point immediately to the east of 'Yore Bridge' northwards to a point immediately to the south of the vehicular access to the 'Yorkshire Dales National Park' visitor centre.

The prohibition is required in connection with bridge maintenance works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force for a max period of 3 weeks during the period 01/12/25 until 28/05/27 inclusive.

The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. During such time as the prohibition is in place then the terms of the following Traffic Regulation Order will be suspended: North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles in Excess of 18 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (With Exceptions) (Various Roads, Askrigg) Order 2008'.
