What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5031 CHURCH ROAD, GREAT URSWICK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5031 Church Road, Great Urswick from its junction with the C5035, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 190 metres.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the A590, C6011 Park Road, C6003, C5032 Long Lane and the unrestricted section of the C5031.

The Order will come into operation on 8th December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
