Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to facilitate the holding of the Brampton Christmas Light Switch On ("the Event") in Brampton and to enable members of the public to watch the Event, Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. B6413 Front Street, Brampton, from its junction with Low Cross Street to its junction with Market Place; and

2. U1253 Market Place, Brampton, for its entire length; and

3. U1255 High Cross Street, Brampton, from its junction with Market Place, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 20m; and

4. B6413 Craw Hall, Brampton from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Ash Lea.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via: Front Street, Main Street, Station Road, Tree Road and unrestricted restriction of Craw Hall.

The Order will come into operation on 30th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of three days from that date. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required between 13:30 and 18:30 hours on Sunday 30th November 2025, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
