Breast Mill Beck Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(Breast Mill Beck Road, Barrow-In-Furness) (Temporary Prohibition Of All Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Breast Mill Beck Lane, Barrow-In-Furness, from its junction with Abbey Road, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 455 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via: the unrestricted section of Breast Mill Beck Lane, Park Road and Abbey Road.

The Order will come into operation on 8th December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 16 days, then the closure will be lifted, and the restriction will come back into place on the 5th January 2025 for 2 weeks, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
