A46 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic To Survey Inspection Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1)(a) AND (7)
THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (WIDMERPOOL, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (SLIP ROADS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A46 Trunk Road, at Widmerpool, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to enable survey inspection works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to close the slip road leading –

(1) from the northbound carriageway of the A46, to its roundabout junction with the A606 and The Fosse (Widmerpool Interchange), at Widmerpool; and

(2) from the southbound carriageway of the A46, to Widmerpool Interchange.

The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 1 December 2025 and continue for twelve nights.

The Order will come into force on 27 November 2025.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.

Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A46 will be signed.
