What is happening?
THE PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
(ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT TO THE CHARGING HOURS) ORDER 2025
1. Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to extend the charging hours for on-street Pay and Display parking places from the current hours of 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. To 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
The new operating hours would apply to the following roads:
Avenue de Caen
Bellevue Terrace
Clarence Esplanade
Clarence Parade
Duisburg Way
Eastney Esplanade
Grand Parade
Henderson Road (June to August)
Jack Cockerill Way
Jubilee Terrace
Kings Terrace
Long Curtain Road
Pembroke Road
Pier Road
Portland Road
South Parade
Southsea Esplanade
Southsea Terrace
Victoria Avenue
Western Parade

3. Persons wishing to object to or make other representations with regard to these proposals must do so in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made. Representations must be sent to
or by post to TRO team, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Portsmouth PO1 2NE, quoting ref P042-25 within 21 days of the date of this Notice (i.e. by 17 December) stating the grounds for the objection.
