NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to
be executed on or near the road and the effect will be to prohibit
any vehicle from proceeding in that length of The Abbe’s Walk at
Burghwallis in the City of Doncaster District as described in the
Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the
said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to install new telecommunication ducting
are undertaken.

NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via The Abbe’s Walk, Sutton Road,
Suttonfield Road, Burghwallis Lane, Grange Lane.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including
the 19th day of December 2025 or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 1 BENTLEY WITH ARKSEY
DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER

2025

The above order, made on 26th November 2025, under section
119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath
running from grid reference SE 5622 0671 (point A on the order
map) and proceeding in a south-easterly direction to grid
reference SE 5646 0642 (point F on the order map), to a line
running from grid reference SE 5622 0671 (point A on the order
map) and proceeding in a north-easterly direction for some 100
metres to grid reference SE 5629 0678 (point B on the order
map), then easterly for some 35 metres to grid reference SE
5632 0678 (point C on the order map), then southerly for some
109 metres to grid reference SE 5630 0667 (point D on the
order map), then easterly for some 28 metres to grid reference

SE 5633 0667 (point E on the order map), then south-south-
easterly for some 284 metres to grid reference SE 5646 0642

(point F on the order map) as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and
may be seen free of charge at City of Doncaster Council, Civic
Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1 3BU, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30

p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and map may
be bought there at the price of £10.00. A copy of the order and
map may be viewed on City of Doncaster Council’s website at:

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent
in writing to the Service Director of Legal and Democratic
Services, City of Doncaster Council, Civic Office, Waterdale,
Doncaster, DN1 3BU, quoting reference L/102898, not later than
the 31st December 2025. Please state the grounds on which
they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any
so made are withdrawn, the City of Doncaster Council may
confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to
the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any
representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will
