Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 27th November 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS STONY STRATFORD AND NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2263)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
Little Linford Lane, Newport Pagnell between Parc Farm and High Street
The closure will take effect from 10th to 12th December 2025 (between 8:00pm and 4:00am)
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via High Street, B526, High Street, Wolverton Road, Little Linford Lane (and vice versa).
Boundary Crescent Stony Stratford at its junction with Woodside for approximately 40 meters.
The closure will take effect from 10th to 12th December 2025 (between 8:00pm and 4:00am)
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Boundary Crescent and Woodside (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2) (Reference TTRO-2257)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Woburn Sands from its junction with Summerlin Drive to its junction with Turnpike Court; to enable Network Rail to undertake railway tamping through the level crossing:
The closure will take effect from 22:00 hours on 6th December until 06:00 hours on 7th December 2025.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road, A421, Bedford Road, Salford Road, A507, A4012, Turnpike Road and Crawley Road (vice versa).
Pedestrian access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WASTEL (PART), BEANHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2260)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Wastel, Beanhill between numbers 23 and 27; to enable Openreach to undertake ducting works in the carriageway.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
The closure will take effect from 8th to 11th December 2025.
There will be no alternative route. However, access will be provided to residents when it is safe to do so.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WHADDON ROAD (PART), SHENLEY BROOK END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2265)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Whaddon Road, Shenley Brook End from its junction with Little Stocking and its junction with Copes Haven; to enable Openreach to undertake ducting works in the carriageway.
The closure will take effect from 8th to 11th December 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Wallinger Drive, Cressey Avenue and Bletchley Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MCCONNELL DRIVE (PART), WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2269)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along McConnell Drive, Wolverton from its junction with Church Street to its junction with McDonalds; to enable Network Rail to lift switches and undertake vegetation works.
The closure will take effect on 11th and 12th December 2025 (overnight) between the hours of 23:30 and 05:00.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Church Street, Creed Street and access road to Tesco Retail Park (and vice versa).

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WHITWORTH LANE (PART), LOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2275)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Whitworth Lane, Loughton between the two furthest junctions of Snaith Crescent; to enable National Grid to undertake trenching works in the carriageway.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
The closure will take effect from 8th to 12th December 2025, 24 hours each day.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Ashpole Furlong, Paynes Drive and Bradwell Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHAFFRON WAY AND SNELSHAL STREET (PARTS), TATTENHOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2302)
This order is to allow National Grid to lay new cables for a new building development. The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close parts of:
11th December 2025 – 6th February 2026 (24 Hours)
Snelshall Street, Tattenhoe – from its junction with Priestley Drive to its junction with Kingsmead Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Standing Way, Tattenhoe Street and Chaffron Way (and vice versa).
Snelshall Street will open for the Christmas break.
12th January – 6th February 2026 (24 Hours until 15th January 2026 and then 09:30 – 15:30)
Chaffron Way, Tattenhoe – from its junction with Portishead Drive to its junction with Kingsmead Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Tattenhoe Street, Childs Way and Snelshall Street (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 25th November 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATHS 17, MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2283)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians entering or proceeding along Footpath 17, Moulsoe from its junction with A509 to its junction with Bridleway 3, Moulsoe to enable St Joseph Homes to carry out essential development works.
The closure will take effect from 28th November 2025 to 31st March 2026.
Whilst the above length of footpath is closed there will be a temporary alternative route in pace and signed.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BULLINGTON END AND BULLINGTON END ROAD, CASTLETHORPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2241)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Openreach to carryout cable recovery works.
The closures will take effect from 1st to 5th December 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Bullington End, Castlethorpe from its junction with Manor farm to its junction with Wolverton Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Park Road, Gold Street, Castlethorpe Road, Hanslope Road, North Street, Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
Bullington End Road, Castlethorpe from its junction with Glenmore Farm to its junction with Bullington End.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Wolverton Road, Bullington End (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GROVEWAY (PART), WALTON HALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2243)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Groveway, Walton Hall from its junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with Walton Drive Roundabout to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications to undertake a pole swap using a crane.
The closures will take effect from 2nd to 5th December 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Standing Way and Marlborough Street (and vice versa).

The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce prohibition of u-turn manoeuvres on Marlborough Street at its junctions with Barnfield Drive, Netherfield; Aldenham, Tinkers Bridge; Buckland Drive, Netherfield and Passmore, Milton Keynes.
