What is happening?

FALKIRK COUNCIL

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:

Glenfuir Road, Falkirk from 08:00 on 08/12/25 until 16:30 on 19/12/25. The prohibition is to allow for Canal Works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Glenfuir Road, Falkirk from a point adjacent to Rosebank Avenue in a westerly direction for approximately 85 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is:
a. East: - B816, A9, Union Road, Lock 16, B816
b. West - B816, Lock 16, Union Road, A9 westwards, Camelon Roundabout, A9 eastwards, B816

Mill Road, Carronshore from 07.30 hours on 01/12/2025 until 17.00 hours on 05/12/2025. The prohibition is to allow for drainage works.
1. This Order temporarily closes Mill Road for approximately 250m from its junction with Webster Avenue to its junction with Innerpeffray Drive.
2. The alternative route: Webster Avenue, Roughlands Drive, Mill Road and vice versa

Oswald Avenue, Grangemouth from 07.30 hours on 01/12/2025 until 17.00 hours on 05/12/2025. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes Oswald Avenue for approximately 200m from Albert Avenue to Kings Road.
2. The alternative route: Oswald Avenue, Albert Avenue, Kings Road, Oswald Avenue and vice versa.

Queen Street, Grangemouth from 07.30 hours on 01/12/2025 until 17.00 hours on 05/12/2025. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes Queen Street for approximately 230m from Oswald Avenue to Albert Avenue.
2. The alternative route: Oswald Avenue, Albert Avenue, Kings Road, Oswald Avenue and vice versa.

Zetland Drive, Laurieston from 07.30 hours on 01/12/2025 until 17.00 hours on 05/12/2025. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing works.
1. This Order temporarily closes Zetland Drive for approximately 310m from Icehouse Brae South to its road end.
2. The alternative route: No alternative route available – local access will be maintained.

Wellpark Road, Banknock from 09:30 until 18:00 on 04/12/25. The prohibition is to allow for Scottish Water works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Wellpark Road, Banknock from a point adjacent to number 28 in a westerly direction for approximately 125 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: Wellpark Road, A803, Bog Road, Laburnum Road, Wellpark Road or vice versa.

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit waiting in:

Thomson Place, Limerigg from 07:30 until 17:30 on 02/12/25. The prohibition is to allow for the Removal of a Storage Container to be undertaken.
1. This order prohibits waiting on Thomson Place, Limerigg from a point adjacent to Slamannan Road in a westerly direction on both sides for the whole road.
2. The alternative route is: Not applicable.
