What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE EXTENSION
LEASHAW, HOLLOWAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 24 February 2023 under Section 14 of The Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Leashaw, Holloway has been extended.
The alternative route will be via Wakebridge, Town End, Cromford Road, Bowns Hill, Sandy Lane, Crich Road, Main Road, Crich Footpath 51, Derby Road, Cromford Bridleway 34, Mill Road, Lea Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.
The road will be closed until 31 December 2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner due to a landslip.
The full duration of this Order will be in excess of the prescribed 18 month limit stipulated under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). However, as per the exceptions provided in Section 15 of the Act, Derbyshire County Council is satisfied that the scale and significance of these works are such that the execution of them will take longer.
