What is happening?

The North Yorkshire Council, Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal & Burn Bridge, Amendment No 50, Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that on 17/11/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) 7 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal & Burn Bridge) (Parking & Waiting) (No 16) Order 2013” & the “North Yorkshire County Council (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal & Burn Bridge) (Parking & Waiting) (No 23) Order 2016” by introducing the restrictions specified in the Schedules below:- Schedule 1 - Waiting Prohibited At All Times With Exemptions Station Parade, Harrogate, South East side from a point 19 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road to a point 42 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road. Station Parade, Harrogate, South East side from a point 47 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road to a point 44 metres north east of its junction with Bower Street. Station Parade, Harrogate, South East side from a point 18 metres north east of its junction with Bower Street to a point 38 metres north east of its junction with Bower Street. Station Parade, Harrogate, East side from a point 15 metres south of its junction with Station Bridge to a point 16 metres south of its junction with Station Bridge. Station Parade, Harrogate, East side from a point 56 metres south of its junction with Station Bridge to a point 60 metres south of its junction with Station Bridge. Station Parade, Harrogate, North West side from a point 39 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road to a point 41 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road. Station Parade, Harrogate, North West side from a point 59 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road to a point 69 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road. Schedule 2 - Waiting Prohibited at any Time Except for Disabled Badge Holders Station Parade, Harrogate, North West side from a point 17 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road to a point 26 metres south-west of its junction with Bower Road. Station Parade, Harrogate, North West side from a point 41 metres south of its junction with Bower Road to a point 50 metres south of its junction with Bower Road. Station Parade, Harrogate, West side from a point 8 metres south of its junction with Raglan Street to a point 14.6 metres south of its junction with Raglan Street. Schedule 3 - Loading & Unloading Prohibited 7:30am to 9:30am & 4pm to 6pm Station Parade, Harrogate, West side from its junction with Cheltenham Parade to a point 75 metres south of its junction with Cheltenham Parade. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 17/11/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
