Bennett Street - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BENNETT STREET, LONG EATON
WHEN: 15 December to 19 December 2025 (08:00 to 18:00)
WHERE: Bennett Street, Long Eaton between the Jct. of Cavendish Road and the Jct. of Britannia Road.
REASON: To facilitate resurfacing works in connection with the S278 agreement.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bennett Street, Shakespeare Street, Wellington Street, Cavendish Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
