NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 9 HECKINGTON
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 14 November 2025 North Kesteven District Council confirmed the above-named Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert that whole width of Public Footpath No.9 in the parish of Heckington running from OSGR TF 13346 43744 (Point A) in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 152 metres to terminate at OSGR TF 13490 43787 (Point B). The total length of footpath to be diverted is approximately 152 metres as shown between points A-B on Order drawing numbered UKSD-SAOS-0000-Rev P.04 TO AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE in the parish of Heckington to be 3 metres wide running from the unaffected part of Public Footpath No.9 at OSGR TF 13346 43744 (Point A) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 6 metres to meet the public highway at OSGR TF 13348 43739 (Point C). The total length of footpath to be added is approximately 6 metres as shown between points A-C on Order drawing numbered UKSD-SA-OS0000-Rev P.04.
A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order drawing have been placed and may be seen during office hours at Main Reception, North Kesteven District Council, Kesteven Street, Eastgate Sleaford, NG34 7EF. The Order comes into force as from 12 December 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity, or of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 26 November 2025 make an application to the High Court.
