CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(TEBWORTH ROAD, TEBWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Tebworth Road, Tebworth at junction with the A5.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15th to 17th December 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Hockliffe Rd, Toddington Rd, B5120, A5.

The Order will come into operation on 15th December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Highways Helpdesk – 0300 300 8049.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STREATLEY ROAD, SUNDON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Streatley Road, Sundon 25 metres either side of the water plant.

This temporary closure is required to enable section 278 resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 5 December 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Manor Road, Sundon Park Road, Bramingham Road, Icknield Way, A6 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Ward & Burke – 07534147053.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LONDON ROAD, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Rd, Dunstable between Oldhill and Beech Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 3 December 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 5am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B489, B4541, B4540, A5183.

The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Highways Helpdesk – 0300 300 8049.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A DISABLED PARKING BAY AND REVOKE AN AMBULANCE BAY ON CRAWLEY CLOSE, SLIP END

Reason for proposal: The disabled parking space would provide a dedicated place for blue badge holders to park. The existing ambulance bay is rarely used, so its removal will allow the space to be repurposed for general parking, improving overall availability for other road users.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following length of road in Slip End:-

1.  Crawley Close, east side, from a point in line with the shared property boundary between No. 2 and No. 4 and extending in a south-westerly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6m metres in length and 2m metres in width.

To revoke an Ambulance Bay on the following length of road in Slip End:-

1.  Crawley Close, east side, from a point in line with the shared property boundary between No. 1A and No. 3 and extending in a south-westerly direction, covering an area approximately 10m metres in length and 2m metres in width.

Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising; For facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians) and the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Woodside:-

1. Manor Road, both sides, from the junction with Woodside Road, extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 15 metres.

2. Woodside Road, north side, from the junction with Manor Road, extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3. Woodside Road, south-west side, from the junction with Manor Road, extending in a slightly southwesterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and for facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians). More specifically, the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking in the vicinity of the surgery to create a safer environment and ensure clear access.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Caddington:-

1. Manor Road, west side, from the junction with Orchard Close, extending in a southerly direction for approximately 15 metres, up to the southern end of the existing dropped kerb outside No.33 Manor Road (Caddington Surgery).

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE) (WHIPSNADE: BRIDLEWAY NO. 1) MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above Order made on 21 November 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-

  varying the particulars relating to the bridleway from Dunstable Downs to Whipsnade Village Green by providing that:

Bridleway No. 1, Whipsnade starts at Dunstable Downs at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0047 1910 and extends in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 1176 metres alongside the eastern edge of Sallowspring Wood, through Sallowspring Wood, and then along a sunken way to terminate at Whipsnade Village Green at TL 0124 1825.

Bridleway No. 1, Whipsnade has a width of 5 metres between Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0047 1910 and OS GR TL 0052 1901 and a variable width of between 4 and 7 metres between OS GR TL 0052 1901 and OS GR TL 0057 1892 and a variable width of between 5 and 7 metres between OS GR TL 0057 1892 and OS GR TL 0080 1870 and a width of 9 metres between OS GR TL 0080 1870 and OS GR TL 0098 1853 and a width of 14 metres between OS GR TL 0098 1853 and OS GR TL 0104 1843 and a variable width of between 5 and 8 metres between OS GR TL 0104 1843 and OS GR TL 0124 1825 as shown shaded pink on the order maps.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Highway Asset Intelligence Team Leader, Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk,

Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5QT or definitivemap@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk not later than 14 January 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. Representations and objections must include either a postal or e mail address. Any representations or objections made will be in the public domain and will be available for viewing/copying by members of the public.

If no such representations or objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn, Central Bedfordshire Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State, may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with the Order. These will be made publicly available by either the Council or the Planning Inspectorate.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CADDINGTON: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 6, 7 AND 8)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the lengths of:

I.  Footpath No. 6, Caddington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0534 2082 to OS GR TL 0530 2104.

II. Footpath No. 7, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0534 2082 to OS GR TL 0498 2148 to OS GR TL 0505 2108.

III. Footpath No. 8, Caddington which extends from OS GR TL 0530 2104 to OS GR TL 0549 2143.

These temporary closures are required for the reconstruction of eight golf holes. The closures are expected to take place from 15 December 2025 for up to six months.

For Footpath No. 6, Caddington, the alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0534 2082 along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0515 2107 then continues along Footpath No. 7, Caddington to OS GR TL 0530 2104.

For Footpath No. 7, Caddington, the alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from OS GR TL 0534 2082 along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0515 2107 then continues along Footpath No. 7, Caddington to OS GR TL 0505 2108 then continues along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0489 2111 then continues along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0498 2148.

For Footpath No. 8, Caddington, the first alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from OS GR TL 0530 2104 along a permissive path when construction volume permits to OS GR TL 0560 2109 then continues along highway extent to OS GR TL 0559 2119 then continues along Footpath No. A8, Caddington and Footpath No. 46, Caddington to OS GR TL 0549 2143.

For Footpath No. 8, Caddington, the second alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from OS GR TL 0530 2104 along Footpath No. 7, Caddington to OS GR TL 0505 2108 then continues along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0489 2111 then continues along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0498 2148 then continues along a temporary footpath to OS GR TL 0536 2161 then continues along Footpath No. 47, Caddington and Footpath No. 46, Caddington to OS GR TL 0549 2143.

This proposed Order will come into operation on 15 December 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpaths have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
