(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends
not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Long Lane, Tingrith outside Cattle farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 11 December 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via High St, Tingrith, C107 from A5120 to Tingrith, Harlington Rd, Station Rd, Park Rd, Long Lane.
The Order will come into operation on 10 December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
A ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER ON SHENLEY HILL ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD
Reason for proposal: The proposed introduction of a one-way traffic system on Shenley Hill Road is intended to support the safe and efficient operation of the highway network in connection with the approved development and associated link road. This measure forms part of a wider traffic management strategy required by planning conditions to ensure the layout change does not compromise highway safety or convenience. Please see the supporting Statement of Reasons document for comprehensive reasoning.
Effect of the Order
To introduce One-way Traffic on the following road in Leighton Buzzard:-
Shenley Hill Road From the junction with Miletree Road and Vandyke Road to the southern junction with Gault Way – vehicles permitted to travel in that direction only.
