Cupar at Christmas - Temporary Restrictions on Various Roads

THE FIFE COUNCIL (CUPAR AT CHRISTMAS)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Fife Council has made an Order under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984:-
(i) to prohibit the use of vehicular traffic of Crossgate (entire length) – alternative route is via St. Catherine St, Station Rd and South Bridge from 07:00 to 22:00 on 22/11/25; and Kirk Wynd (from Short La to Crossgate) – alternative route is via Kirkgate, Lovers La and Millgate from 07:00 to 21:00 on 22/11/25;
(ii) to prohibit the waiting of vehicles on both sides of Crossgate (entire length) from 18:00 on 21/11/25 to 22:00 on 22/11/25; Castlehill (west side - from 10m north of St. Catherine St northerly for 45m) from 07:00 to 21:00 on 22/11/25; and Fluthers Car Park (east side – from footpath adjacent to Public Toilets eastwards) from 07:00 on 21/11/25 to 22:00 on 22/11/25; and
(iii) to introduce a temporary taxi rank on the south side of St. Catherine St (from Castlehill easterly for 28m) from 07:00 to 22:00 on 22/11/25.
The Order is to allow Cupar at Christmas Lights Switch On to take place in safety. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained during all closures. Any queries regarding this Notice should be directed to Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service,
