What is happening?

D3731 College Road, Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 26 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3731 College Road, Woking which extends from its junction with Frailey Hill to its junction with Orchard Close, and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – D3731 College Road, D3731 East Hill, B382 Old Woking Road and C144 Maybury Hill.
Mincing Lane (C8) Chobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mincing Lane (C8) Chobham as extends from its junction with The Avenue (X8) to the northern boundary of the property known as “46 Mincing Lane”.
Alternative route – A319 (Chertsey Road), B383 (Windsor Road) and Red Lion Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate the installation of a new pole and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 January 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
