What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ORCHARD STREET AND THE LAWNS, HINCKLEY) (BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH) (ONE-WAY SYSTEM) ORDER 202
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2), 4 and 5 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
To update the existing One-Way System Order on parts of Orchard Street and The Lawns, Hinckley.
No physical changes are being made to the highway or its existing layout along any of the above-named roads.
The changes are necessary to correct anomalies in the legal orders and ensure that the One-way system along The Lawns and Orchard Street is enforceable.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA, at the offices of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley LE10 0FR.

Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 17th December 2025, quoting reference KJ/HTWMT/6043. THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
To impose a No Waiting at Any Time restriction on part of Broad Lane, Markfield.
To impose mandatory School Keep-Clear markings on part of Broad Lane Markfield

To impose an additional School Keep-Clear marking on part of Station Road, Market Bosworth.
