Dilwyn, Temporary Road Closure Remedial Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under Its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1092, Sandpits To Alton Cross Road, Dilwyn, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1092, Sandpits To Alton Cross Road, Dilwyn, 50 metres either side of Stretford brook. Grid Ref: 342399/254086.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1092 onto Venmore Lane, onto Fields Place Lane, onto the C1093, onto the C1092 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to parapet wall remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come Into force on 15th of December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 8 days.
