Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Clumber Road, Poynton with Worth for the full extent
South West Avenue, Bollington for the full extent
Bollington Road, Bollington for the full extent
Buxton Road West, Disley for the full extent
Peter Street, Macclesfield for the full extent
Brocklehurst Avenue, Macclesfield for the full extent
Pexhill Road, Macclesfield for the full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 5th January 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 30th January 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 26th November 2026. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That length of Public Footpath No. 11 (part) Parish of Sutton which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 9525 7153 and runs in a generally southerly direction for approx. 361m to the junction with footpath No.10 at OSGR SJ 9518 7120.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while works are taking place on or adjacent to the Public Right of Way at Ridgegate Reservoir
