What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH No.19, MARLDON) pt PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

The above order, made on 6 November 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert part of public Footpath No.19, Marldon running from A- B across the field to a new line running along the western and north boundary of the field A - C - B shown on the order map CCET/PROW/25/47.

A copy of the order and the order map can be seen free of charge at the offices of South Hams District Council Follaton House Plymouth Road Totnes TQ9 5NE from 10.am - 4.00pnn Monday to Friday.

The order can also be viewed and printed at www.devon.gov.uk/ haveyoursay Copies of the order and map can be bought from the address below at the cost of £5.00. Any representations about, or objections to the order, must be sent in writing to Devon County Council, Public Rights of Way, Fox Tor, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7NL not later than 20 January 2026.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. Copies of any objections or representations received, may be circulated to interested parties. If no such representations or objection are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Devon County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order.


If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
