M25 Motorway - Temporary Traffic Restrictions For Works
What is happening?
M25 MOTORWAY – JUNCTIONS 16 TO 15
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the Unitary Authority of Buckinghamshire Council, under Section 14(1)(a) and (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on and in the vicinity of the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the 24-hour closure of the hard shoulder adjacent to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between marker post board M25 B 96.8 and marker post board M25 B 96.3.
This measure would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake repairs of the Network Rail mainline underbridge and all associated works.
Although the work itself is expected to be of short duration commencing Friday 19th December, the scaffolding installed to protect the workforce will remain in place until Christmas 2026, during which time the hard shoulder closure will remain in force.
Please see National Highways website for details.
The Order would come into force on 17th December 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
The temporary closure would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the works period.
I Rosendaal, an Official of National Highways Limited.
